I'm CJ, I help families recover their homes and their peace of mind.

Mold doesn’t just damage structures—it can shatter your sense of safety, and stress can be just as harmful as the mold itself. 

My mission is to restore both- your safety and your sanity.

With strategic planning and oversight, I’ve guided clients through the chaos, helping them avoid costly mistakes and unnecessary remediation—sometimes saving them hundreds of thousands of dollars. SO, HOW DID

I GET HERE?

In 2015, I had my daughter—pure joy. A year and half later, we bought a different home and moved in. It had more space, a pool, and all the things we thought we wanted.

It was exciting…
Until it wasn’t.

I started feeling off. Really off.

I became incredibly sick. I was anxious, exhausted, and couldn’t keep up with being a mom, a wife, or honestly, a functioning human. As a certified health coach, I couldn’t make sense of what was happening. It was a slow fade, and I hadn’t connected it to our new house—until a friend of mine (a functional medicine practitioner) invited me to a Mold Conference.

Now, let’s be honest: that’s not on most people’s bucket list.
But I’m a nerd—so I said yes.

We thought we were going to learn about health protocols for people exposed to toxic mold—and we did.
But what really blew my mind?
We learned that many homes are built in ways that almost guarantee mold issues. Poor building practices. Faulty HVAC setups. Water intrusion. And very few people looking at the whole picture.

I drove home with a pit in my stomach—and an epiphany.

I looked at our house with new eyes. Water ran straight toward the side of the home—no gutters, no French drain. Our HVAC system had issues. The red flags were everywhere.

My house had mold.

Somehow, my husband took me seriously (thank goodness), and we bought a travel trailer very quickly. We moved out fast—and within two weeks after moving out, my health started coming back online.

And that… was the beginning.

Since then, I’ve said it a thousand times: “I try to quit mold… but mold won’t quit me.”

Over the last seven years, I’ve studied, trained, and walked alongside friends and clients as they’ve navigated their own mold recoveries. I’ve learned what works, what doesn’t, and what absolutely wrecks your sanity, health, and bank account.

Mold is a silent intruder—often invisible, often odorless, but deeply disruptive. It causes more health havoc than most people will ever realize.

+ DO YOU DO THE TESTING YOURSELF?

Nope—and that’s intentional. I don’t sell testing, so there’s no conflict of interest. Instead, I help you find and coordinate with the right certified mold inspector, ensuring your results are objective and trustworthy. My role is to guide, explain, and advocate for you through the entire process—not push a particular test or treatment.  If you’re considering ERMI testing as a starting point, I can absolutely help you navigate that too—it’s powerful, but it’s important to do it wisely and with the right context.

+ HOW DO I KNOW IF I EVEN HAVE MOLD?

Great question—and one I hear all the time. The tricky part? Sometimes there’s no smell at all. Mold can be a silent intruder, and that makes it even harder to detect.
If you or several members of your family are experiencing health issues—even if the symptoms are different—that could be a clue. Mold affects people in different ways.
Also, if your home has ever had water damage (a roof leak, a plumbing issue, a flooded basement—even if it seemed minor), it's worth taking seriously. I’ll help you decide if testing is the right next step, and what kind of testing makes the most sense for your situation.

+ CAN I JUST CALL A REMEDIATION COMPANY AND GET IT FIXED?

You can—but without a plan, many people get oversold, under-informed, or worse: not actually fixed. I’m here to help you avoid unnecessary costs, emotional burnout, and “solutions” that don’t actually solve the problem.

+ WHAT MAKES YOU DIFFERENT FROM A MOLD INSPECTOR OR REMEDIATION COMPANY?

Most inspectors just test. Most remediation companies want to demo and rebuild. I’m a neutral, health-first consultant who helps you navigate all the steps in-between—strategically, calmly, and in plain language.

+ DO YOU ONLY WORK WITH LOCAL CLIENTS?

Nope! I work with clients virtually across the country—and I’m just as hands-on and supportive from a distance. If you’re local (within 30–60 minutes of my area), I do offer in-person services. I’m also available to travel further for on-site help, with additional travel fees. Whether we're meeting face-to-face or connecting over Zoom, I’ll walk with you through the process—step by step, from wherever you are.
